Services:



Below is a listing of committees defining the many ways a JWCM member can share her time and talents to the community:

Arts Committee
- Promote arts, craft, drama, music and cultural heritage
- Coodinates the "Gift of Music Program" which refurbishes donated instruments to music students.

Conservation Committee
- Promote community beautification
- Provide conservation and environmental education
- Maintain gardens at Wildwood Cultural Center
- Participate in Mentor "Trash Bash"

Education Committee
- Promote financial support to local students
- Provide scholarships to area high school seniors and women returning to school

Expenditure Review Committee (ERC)
- Make recommendations to the board for the approval and distribution of thousands of dollars to local charities
- Study community requests for donations

Historian
- Compile yearly scrapbook
- Serve as Club Photographer

Homelife Committee
- Focus on family living, mental health, welfare and senior citizens
- Aid physical challenged adults in the assisted bowling program
- Entertain nursing home residents with Bingo and ice cream social
- Deliver Meals on Wheels

Hospitality Committee
- Organize refreshments at monthly general meetings
- Arrange dinners and cards for members experiencing difficulties and births

International Affairs Committee
- Promote international understanding and goodwill
- Host events for local exchange students

Membership Committee
- Recruit prospective members
- Conduct initiation and installation ceremonies
- Publish Membership Directory

Parliamentarian
- Advise on matters of parliamentary procedure because of her knowledge as Past President

Program Committee
- Conduct initiation and installation ceremonies
- Organize May Banquet

Publicity Committee
- Publicize events and happenings in the club
- Design and update publicity materials
- Manage and update website

Safety Town
- Coordinate Mentor "Safety Town" safety awareness program for children ages 4-6 in conjunction with the Mentor Police

Social Committee
- Plan and coordinate all social events for members and their families or friends
- Plan and coordinate the Presidents Open House

Ways and Means Committee
- Devise method(s) for raising funds to support the Clubs budgeted activities, subject to the approval of the membership
